WAP

The Runbox Mail Manager (RMM) WAP interface is a simplified version of the Webmail part of the RMM web service. It provides you with the tools you need to access your email from any WAP enabled mobile client anywhere in the world. To utilize the management features of RMM, use the main RMM web interface.

Logging in

To log in to RMM's WAP interface:
  1. Connect to the Internet through your mobile phone service provider, and go to the address wap.runbox.com.
  2. You will see the runbox.com logo, and a login screen will appear (if it doesn't, select "Enter" from the menu).
  3. Enter your username and password and press "Log in". Note: Accounts on a hosted domain must use the username%yourdomain.com format.

The login process can be simplified by bookmarking RMM on your WAP phone and adding some information to the URL the bookmark contains. To the URL "http://wap.runbox.com", append "/mail/login?user=username&pass=password&login=true" - replacing "username" and "password" with your own username and password. Then, when selecting the edited bookmark you will be taken directly to the RMM Inbox. Note that this login method makes your RMM account less secure since anyone with access to your WAP phone now also can access your email.

Navigation

The various available WAP clients differ in the way they display WAP pages, and RMM's WAP interface will vary in appearance depending on the client you use. The service has 3 main levels; the folder overview (Folders), folder contents, and message contents. Additionally, you can access the Compose page to write new messages, the Help pages, the Logout function, and other content-dependent options.

Each WAP page consists of 3 main parts; the title, the main contents and a menu. The title tells you where you are in the hierarchy at all times. The main contents depends on what action you are currently performing, and the menu at the bottom of the page takes you to the other main parts of the service.
