Email alias setup
Can I get an alias for my account? How do I use it?
Aliases can be created and deleted from the
Alias Administration page.
An alias is a synonymous, extra email address, which forwards all incoming mail to your main account. You can appear to send from it by changing the Preferences for a designated folder in Webmail:Preferences (preferences are folder specific).
In an email client, clone your existing account setup, only using the alias as the from and reply-to address. You can use the alias for people you trust less than those you give the main address to, since changing an alias is easy, whereas changing your main account name is not possible. Or you can have one address for business and one for personal use, for instance.
